Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
Make delicious, fluffy pancakes from scratch. This recipe uses 7 ingredients you probably already have.
Anybody can add water to a boxed pancake mix, but you're better than that! These pancakes are not too thick, not too thin, but tender, light, buttery, and delicious.
One of grandma's favorite recipes, these pancakes are made healthier by using less butter, egg whites instead of a whole egg, and nonfat milk. A perfect way to start the day!
Yesterday I ran out of Aunt Jamima pancake mix and I said to my girlfriend "I gotta buy some more Aunt Jamima." And she said "Buy mix? I always laugh when people do that." And I said "What do you mean?" And she said "I make pancakes from scratch." So I figured I'd look up a recipe here. It took a while to find one that I wanted to try (I was tempted with the fluffy Canadian ones 'cause I'm Canadian) but then I saw all the reviews for this one and it sounded good. I was really hungry tonight so I got out my griddle. By the way, if you do like making pancakes, I highly suggest investing in a griddle, preferably iron. Breakfast food tastes SO much better on a griddle, and there's much more space to cook and flip. You can cook 6 pancakes on my griddle at a time. The only change I made was adding an extra quarter of a cup of milk because I like the panca
I always make the new recipes that I try for the first time EXACTLY as directed before leaving a review/critique. Let me tell those who read these reviews, that THIS one is the real deal. It is FANTASTIC>. The pancakes turn out fluffy and flavorful. Not too thick or thin perfect consistency. This is replacing my OLD recipe (not a box) that my family has been using for years. My husband loved it my kids loved it. Simply Fantastic.... NOW for the tweeking that I did after the first time that I made these pancakes. The ONLY thing that I did different is that I like my pancakes to be a bit on the sweeter side, so I increased the surgar by 2 TBS. My kids sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before the syrup... BUT THIS even if you don't tweek the recipe is nothing short of FANTASTIC. IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS OR MORE I WOULD. THANK YOU FOR POSTING AND SHARING THIS PANCAKE RECIPE
